Problem:
After ejection, ejectors have clearly left marks on the moulding in the form of depressions, differences in gloss or stress whitening.
Solution:
- Ensure ejectors finish flush with the surface of the mould.
- Optimize the changeover to hold pressure.
- If sink marks are visible on the ejector points, increase the hold pressure.
- If differences in gloss are visible on the ejector marks reduce the hold pressure.
- Reduce the injection speed to minimise injection pressure.
- Extend the cooling time and/or changeover time.
- Ensure accurate location and movement of ejector pins.
- Reduce the hold pressure.
- Reduce the temperature of the mould core.
- Use a mold release agent.
- Check the mold for undercuts and draft.
- Ensure adequate venting of the mold
- Reduce the melt processing temperature.
- Install additional ejectors and/or enlarge the existing ones.
